Jared has joined MOSIMTEC, a leading provider of simulation consulting services, as an Associate Simulation Consultant. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in mechanical engineering, business analytics, and lean manufacturing to his new role.
Jared’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He was a Presidential Scholarship and Engineering Scholarship recipient.
Jared’s most recent work experience includes serving as a Workforce Operations Intern at Royal Caribbean Group in Miami, FL, where he created yearly medical staffing forecasts for crews of the entire 26 ship Royal Caribbean fleet and standardized and consolidated Standard Operating Procedures for 5 branches of crew service. He also worked as a Continuous Improvement Intern at Phifer Inc. in Tuscaloosa, AL, where he initiated plans to implement a machinery training and tracking program for nearly 200 workers plant-wide.
As a Technical Intern at Weir ESCO in Newton, MS, Jared assisted the plant in developing and implementing Process Variation Reduction (PVR) methods in four departments. He also modeled an improved core-box sandblasting station using Siemens NX and oversaw its manufacturing. Additionally, he served as a Quality Technician Co-op at Michelin, where, amongst others, he constructed a bead-sensing system to assist operators with machine operation and decrease tire defects.
Jared has received various honors and accolades, including being an Honors College Graduate, Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of the Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. He is proficient in a variety of relevant skills, such as Python, Microsoft Office, Lean Six Sigma, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
