U.S. companies are bringing jobs/supply chains home at a historic pace. Per the Reshoring Initiative, American companies are on pace to reshore or return to the U.S. 350,000 jobs in 2022, up 35% from 2021 and highest since tracking began in 2010.
In recent months, dozens of companies have made plans for new factories in the U.S. Micron Technology announced a $40 Billion expansion of its Idaho headquarters and investments in memory manufacturing. Ascend Elements said it would build a $1 Billion lithium-ion battery materials facility in KY. SK Group said it would invest $22 Billion in a new packaging facility, electric vehicle charging systems and hydrogen production in KY and TN.
