Solar simulation modeling

The Biden administration is betting big on solar power, but the U.S. has little manufacturing for almost any solar energy components. China controls >80% of the supply chain and spends 10x as much on solar manufacturing as the U.S./Europe combined.

President Biden signed a law in August to boost tax credits for renewable power projects/manufacturing. First Solar, the largest U.S. solar panel maker, said it would spend $1.2B to increase manufacturing capacity by 75% due to the new law. Korean-based Hanwha Solutions Corp. said it would invest billions of dollars to build its own solar supply chain in the U.S. and is reviewing sites to make solar components in TX, GA and SC. Swiss-based Meyer Burger Technology plans to build a factory in AZ for solar cells/panels.

MOSIMTEC uses computer modeling and simulation to help companies design and execute bold manufacturing and supply chain strategies. Explore options virtually for plant layouts, production lines, robot usage, supplier/transportation strategy and more in immersive, data-driven 3D simulations. Assess multiple production and supply chain options, including impacts on cost, quality, capacity, inventory, reliability and risk before implementing in the real world. MOSIMTEC can help.
