A study by Oracle indicates that access to more information doesn’t necessarily lead to better decision making. While 83% of those surveyed agree that access to more data should make decisions easier, 86% said that more data actually leads to less confidence in their decision making.

The study found that 78% reported they are bombarded with more data from more sources than ever before and 74% say the number of decisions they make every day has risen by 10x over the past 3 years. As a result, 86% say that this data overload is causing the decision making in their personal/professional lives to be much more complicated. About 59% admitted facing a decision dilemma daily while 35% struggled to trust data sources.

MOSIMTEC specializes in simulation modeling to build digital twins, which requires clean, accurate and near-real-time data. Projects typically focus about 40% of time on data-related issues to ensure needed data quality and integrity. We help companies leverage their data to make good business decisions, also avoid common data-related pitfalls based on our work in the trenches of >300 projects. We work with big data every day and know how to make it work for you. MOSIMTEC data scientists and industrial engineers can help.
